Introduction to DTx
Digital Therapeutics (DTX) refers to therapeutic interventions made possible by patientdirected, clinically assessed software applications to better the process of identifying, treating, managing, and/or preventing diseases.
A growing need for cutting-edge healthcare solutions is driving tremendous growth in the field of Digital Therapeutics (DTX) in the Asia Pacific region. To advance the adoption and integration of DTX solutions for better patient outcomes, the Asia Pacific DTX Leadership Alliance is proposed as a collaborative platform to foster innovation, drive adoption, and lead the advancement of Digital Therapeutics across the Asia Pacific region.
Objectives & Activities
- Awareness: Raise awareness among policy makers, industry, clinicians, patients, and the public about the potential benefits and applications of DTX in managing and treating health conditions.
- Advocacy: We will work with the industry and the policy makers to raise awareness among policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the public about the potential benefits of DTX interventions.
- Best Practices: We will collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practice guidelines for boosting the scientific adoption of Digital Therapeutics amongst practitioners.
- Collaboration & Capacity Building: Serve as a unified voice for the recognition and integration of DTX solutions into healthcare systems and regulatory frameworks across the Asia Pacific region. To work with academia and the industry to build capacity for the promising field of Digital Therapeutics.
- Document, Disseminate, Demonstrate and Develop the Market: We will document the success stories and disseminate and demonstrate the benefits to help develop the market for DTX.
- Evidence: Research and generate evidence in the field of DTX to support clinical trials, real-world studies, and outcomes research to generate robust evidence on the effectiveness and value of DTX interventions.
- Foster Innovation and Partnerships: As a leadership alliance, we will help drive the thought leadership for innovation and partnership to enhance the scope and scale of DTX and undertake activities necessary to promote DTX across the region.
Structure of Asia Pacific DTX Leadership Alliance
- DTX Alliance leadership council comprises all founding members who joined from various stakeholder groups. It comprises key leaders nominated by the founding organizations responsible for strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and governance.
- All companies will nominate one representative for the alliance on a rotational basis.
- The members will be part of the alliance on a yearly term basis. The term can be extended based on their interest and contribution to further the objectives of the alliance.
- The members of the alliance will hold quarterly meetings of the stakeholder groups from time to time in different regions.
- We will also invite chapters from different geographical areas led by the founding members.
- The Asia Pacific DTX Leadership Alliance is being hosted by Digital Health Associates through Health Parliament.
*All the decisions will be taken by the Leadership Council and will be final. They will be driving the agenda for the alliance.
